Finally saw the end of the Jim Jarmusch film Broken Flowers – with a very nice soundtrack including Mulatu Astatqe – plus a nice set of bonus elements on the DVD – including a nice interview in the Farmhouse featurette where Jim talks about his view about randomness and life and chaos theory and creativity which was spot on.
Off to Leicester today to stay at another B & B with added flower power! (The Glenfield Lodge Hotel)

A good way to end a week which saw the launch of Saatchi’s Your Gallery make it into the Guardian!
Went to a very interesting talk on usability and hospital shift handover systems and technology tonight. I even came up with a product idea which I will of course not share, just in case it’s actually a good one:
“Any IT solution must be sensitive to the fact that handover serves purposes other than the direct passing of patient-related information. What would be the consequences for the clinical setting if the other ‘work’ that we observed was no longer done in handover: would it be done elsewhere and would the system as a whole suffer if not? Further, the paper-based handover artefacts that we observed are used in various unintended ways and therefore flexibility in information presentation and use will be key to the success of any system to support handover.”
Great, there’s some guy who’s got a blog about Omega watches. Sorry mate but anyone with taste knows that a Cartier Santos Dumont rules when it comes to real blokes watches with class; though got to say that Cartier’s website is pretty naff!
Blimey, went to the Undercover Surrealism Exhibition and then onto the Coaches and Horses with Juan in Soho, only to bump into ‘Dennis’..from the TV show ‘Auf Wierdersehen, Pet’. It says in the cast notes that…

From the Bosnian pyramid site:
“Foundation in charge of excavations in Bosnias Valley of Pyramids is published interesting image . This image clearly shows inscriptions. Expert from foundation assumes; this massive block could represent a man and letters on it are representing members of his family. Further analysis will give us more answers to this mysterious writings.”
Er, maybe it’s an early form of grafitti?!

“Bosnian writer Ahmed Bosnić has recently returned from the Bosnian River Valley where he visited the village of Ozimicama and found a significant concentration of the stone balls found across Bosnia. He was in the company Dr Aly Abd Barakat , Egyptian geologist (Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority. ), who confirmed that the balls were a manmade rather than natural phenomenon.
“The existence of the balls in this region was not known until an earthquake 12 or 13 years ago revealed them. They vary in size with the largest measuring 1.7m high and with a circumference of 5.3m.
“Theory is that the balls were created at the same time as the pyramids in the Bosnian Valley of Pyramids and that their existence proves an ancient civilisation existed in today’s Bosnia. This location will soon become protected as a National Park and will be recognised as one of the sites of archaeological significance in Bosnia.
“Bosnic also visited Mećevići (Zavidovići) which contains more than 20 of the mysterious stone balls, measuring from a few centimetres’ diameter up to 3m in circumference. The picture shown indicates the size of one of the balls found.”
