E-commerce observation

Funny, I went to buy a bed from John Lewis on Oxford Street and they said it would take 6 to 8 weeks. Online 2 weeks. Why not order from the same system? Funny I had a camera from Argos which wouldn’t work so I took it back to the store for fixing. It’s still there after two months, so I emailed online customter services. They said it was the store’s problem, not there’s. Don;t get me wrong I understand why they have separate systems, I just in an idealistic way think that’s ‘wrong’.

Looking more deeply you can see what I’m getting at, it’s a bit like the old the systems problem I had with one online travel agent, who had one bookign system using the phone and another for online (back in 2000 this example).
